Relaunch of HuggableMan.com Rebranded as HuggablePeople.com

Huggable #4 : Marc Sherer creator a powerful ecosystem of businesses and professionals – both big and small

Huggableman.com is all about recognizing people who are exceptional and make a difference. Crowd sourcing is encouraged and I am happy to get this nomination from Ramon Ray ( Our Huggable #1) and editor of SmallBizTechnology.com.

Here is Ramon Ray’s Huggable Nomination :

Marc Sherer is President of Event Management an event production company located in Connecticut. NY XPO produces big trade shows for businesses, such as the New York Expo.

I first met Marc in 2005 when he was getting ready to produce his first NYXPO in NY. Marc is one of the most generous, giving and smart persons I know. He deals with BIG sponsors, BIG events, BIG people, but his graciousness and openness make him accessible to all. His ability to bring together NY’s professionally diverse network of small business community members (Chambers, organizations, associations, groups, etc) and have them in ONE room during his planning meetings is a testament to his personal professionalism and the strength of the organization he’s built.

NYXPO is not a very big business, but shows that small businesses can do big (no VERY BIG) things with passion, dedication, some luck and brains.

My hat’s off to him and his team (shout out to Devin Cleary) who have created a powerful ecosystem of businesses and professionals – both big and small.  It’s easy to do events and trade shows – it’s not easy to bring together so many professionals an a “family” atmosphere of support to the greater growth of their collective small enterprises. Marc Shearer should definitely gets the Huggable man recognition – IF The Huggable Man grants it
